For its fantastic and beautiful scenes, North Beijing has always been a place where poets would like to write about in their poems. Yunfo Mountain Vacationing Village is located here and for years, it is frequented by tourists and widely admired. The large script of "Fo" (meaning Buddha) written by Mr. Songyang, a calligraphy master, is especially precious. This script is 99 meters high and 56 meters wide and many steles with scripts about Buddhist culture are as long as 4 meters. Together, they used up 20,000 cubic meters of granite blocks and over 100 tons of cement. The scripts are red in color and to paint them, 3 tons of paint was used. They look very magnificent from far away and among the green pine and cypress trees. A manmade Great Wall directly leads to the top of Yunfo Mountain and makes Yunfo Mountain an ideal place to have a wonderful look of the surrounding scenes. From the Return Kiosk on top of the mountain, you can see "the 100-mu (more than 6 hectares) orchards" in the east, the "pyramid mountain" in the west, "the reservoir scenes" in the north, and the "municipality lights" in the south. Here, you will feel broad-minded and your views widened. The mountain is famous for Buddha and a cave increases its charm. On the mountain, below the vacationing village, there is a natural limestone cave that is formed after billions years of natural evolvement. Various limestone flows and pillars form a unique scene. They are witnesses of Yunfo Mountain's long history.
